Unified Latent Representation

The current Main programme on what learned systems share, what makes a representation identical, how learning differs from inference for an observer, and when organisation genuinely forms. Its central result is a disciplined negative ontology verdict, not a claim that a universal latent object has been found.

Unified Latent Representation (ULR) is the current main research programme. It asks four connected questions:

  1. Sharing — what structure is actually shared across models, modalities, tasks, and seeds?
  2. Identity — when are two representations the same after the correct gauge, normalisation, and observable have been declared?
  3. Role — when can an observer distinguish learning from inference through permitted interventions and output ports?
  4. Formation — when does a persistent, transportable organisation emerge rather than a metric merely changing?

The current canonical conclusion is deliberately restrictive. In the tested registry, none of seven candidate carriers leaves a neural-specific residual after the strongest typed baseline is applied. Canon 24 therefore records the ontology verdict NO and adopts typed pluralism as the working position. This is not a metaphysical claim that organisation can never exist. It is a claim about what the current evidence licenses.

The programme remains active because the negative verdict sharpens the next question: which laws constrain unobserved typed responses, and do those laws survive predictive-state, causal, dynamical, symmetry, and routing baselines?
